The second class in the "double helix" Gyrotonic series ( the first being "Head not Shoulder, Knees not Toes) , this class explores isolated spherical planes of motion along the theme of "unlocking the body" in order to express more complicated movement patterns.
Proprioceptive cueing exercises using a ball, a resistance band and a yoga block are used to stimulate awareness throughout the major movement centers in the body, and advanced movement patterns such as the Sciatica series and lower legs prone ( from Level II ) are explored.
